Carried to Full Term is a nationally recognized non-profit organization that was created to provide long-term residential support for pregnant women who are in crisis situations which include homelessness, as a result of an unplanned pregnancy.
Enjoy dinner, music, silent auction and guest speakers at our annual fundraising event. Our doors opened in October and it is with the support of our community that we are able to carry out our vision.
Tickets are available for purchase. The event starts at 6pm and will be held at the Stonewall Golf Club. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to celebrate Carried To Full Term and to be a part of creating brighter and better futures for a mother and her child.

This story is about a thirsty pastor returning from a Saturday hike and a supervised group of fearless kids operating a lemonade stand. The kids decided to operate the lemonade stand. It didn’t require elaborate planning, they needed only a few necessary item to attack people to stop. Their plan was to get people to stop by to learn more about the Haymarket house while their sibling(s) and parents worked on getting the house organized.
A short time after the stand was set up, visitors started stopping in support of the kids. One visitor, needing to quench his thirst after a long Saturday morning hike, stopped to get a drink and in the process learned about the Haymarket house from an excited bunch of kids all talking at the same time. The haymarket house? What is that he asked? It is where the mommies and their babies will stay the kids told Pastor James. The Haymarket House? Pastor James was encouraged to go in to the house to speak to some of the other adults. Pastor James was given tour and an explanation of the mission of Carried To Full Term.
“I can help,” he said, after the meeting. I can do something to help. About a week later, we received a note stating, “I was wondering if it would be ok, if our church purchased a large number of mini baby bottles and sent them home with our kids and congregation over the next month to collect change and donations for your new ministry to the community?” Unbelievable you say? that was our expression as well. A month later, we received another note from pastor James that read, “The New Life Church raised $1,236.50. That change really adds up! Excited to get that donation to you as soon as we get the check! When we drop it off we’d love to do a prayer walk around the property.”
Sometimes elaborate and meticulous planning are necessary and sometimes it takes fearless, energetic kids, a lemonade stand, and people willing to stop and listen to create lasting change.
Mothers residing at the Haymarket House will have access to various educational options ranging from technical to breastfeeding to jewelry making. On this particular day, Elspeth and her amazing assistant demonstrated cloth diapering as an option to using disposable diapers.
Elspeth shared that there are many benefits to clothing diapering. When done properly, cloth diapering reduces the occurrence diaper rashes, it keeps baby’s bottoms dry and it’s a cheaper option than disposable diapering.
Yesterday, we spent some time putting our schedules together. As we prepare to have mothers move in, our goal is to make them aware of all the resources that will be available to them.
