Confident and Hopeful about the Future

July 29, 2017 by TheVillageLady Leave a Comment

We are very proud of the progress our mothers have made since arriving at Carried To Full Term. Our ability to share these amazing updates would not be possible without your support. Our moms have shared stories of being consumed by worry as their delivery dates drew closer, and the panic of realizing they had no place to stay.

They’ve shared concern of losing their babies after delivery.  Carried To Full Term has been able to serve as an answer to those fears and worries.

There is never a dry eye when mothers share that they feel safe and comfortable at their home, the Haymarket House. Each of mothers is currently working and are hopeful about their futures. We are so happy to have you on this journey.

Thank you for all your support. If you are not yet a monthly donor to our program, consider signing up to day to become a FAB5 Member for at $20.00/month.

Thank you Mamaratzy Photography for your gift of photographing our moms and preserving their beauty at this precious moment in their lives.

Be blessed.

Safety and Stability

April 3, 2017 by TheVillageLady Leave a Comment

Housing is important to the well-being and health of families. Without adequate housing, families have trouble managing their daily lives. Families without income or enough money to cover vital needs, such as food, health or utilities, are most at risk for other crisis. When housing needs are meet, families are able to focus on caring for each other.

Carried To Full Term exists to provide long-term housing for pregnant mothers in crisis as a result of pregnancy. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for mothers to be able to care for themselves and to prepare for the birth of her baby.

During their stay, mothers learn life skills, work on completing their education and support in seeking and maintaining employment.

Home

April 2, 2017 by TheVillageLady Leave a Comment

HOME is defined as a place of residence, the social unit formed by a family living together. Although our mothers aren’t related biologically, our families live together and operate dynamically as a family unit.  To date, two lovely newborn babies and their moms call Carried To Full Term’s Haymarket House home.

In the short time we’ve been operational, we have heard stories of need from mother’s living in the woods to mothers nearing their delivery living cars. As hard as that may be to believe or relate to, we are reminded daily of the peace our mothers and their babies experience because they now have a place to call, HOME!

Each day, we serve purposefully in our mission, to provide long-term housing to mothers. Each day we serve to assist our mothers according to their plans to live independently and self-sufficiently.  Each day, we get to see our mothers and their children live in safety and peace within the walls of their home.

Independence

December 13, 2016 by TheVillageLady Leave a Comment

Carried To Full Term is a nonprofit organization created to provide long-term residential support to mothers in crisis as a result of pregnancy. Mothers admitted to our program will be able to plan and prepare for their newborn for up to 24 months in a very structured setting.

Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following: maintaining the home, caring for their children, securing and retaining employment, completing their education, and participating in sponsored programs and activities. In addition to providing long-term housing, Carried to Full Term created a mentoring program to effectively assist mothers on their journey to becoming independent and self sufficient.

Mothers residing on our homes receive support throughout the entire 24-months stay. The goal is to help them get on a path to independence and self-sufficiency.
